Half-Baked

Okay, so you're not going to be hearing about Steve anymore. Here are the sad details:

As Kitty said earlier, she was trying to convince me to make Steve some chocolate cookies. She succeeded, but I insisted that we also made some other baked goods so it would be less obvious. I guess you could say it was an epic success. Steve tried our cookies and said, "These cookies are so good I would even eat them if they were poisoned!"

I guess he has a weird sense of humor.

Anyway, I was basically on Cloud 9 all day because he loved my cooking so much. Then things took a turn for the worst. At the end of the day, he decided to take some extra cookies home with him. He also decided to take some home for his girlfriend.

Crying my eyes out but not really,

Wingwoman

I'm going to admit it: I think Steve is really adorable. But since I'm such a good friend (and I'm interested in about 6 other gentlemen right now), I'm going to respect Lydia's "dibs" on him. In fact, I've already nominated myself as wingwoman.

Just an update:
Yesterday, I was at Lydia's workplace and talked to Steve for a few minutes. I very quickly steered the topic of conversation to Lydia, and he brought up a joke that Lydia had said the other day. I'm so proud. And then he teased, "Yeah, Lydia just promised to bake me a lifetime supply of chocolate chip cookies." Basically he's just admitted that he wants Lydia in his life forever.

Trying to convince Lydia to bring him cookies on Monday,

smitten.

so, theres this boy. and i think it's safe to say that he has me smitten. we'll call him steve.

steve is a total hipster in every sense of the word. i've never seen him in anything other than skinny jeans, and he also rocks a bow tie on most days. which i just so happen to find absolutely adorable. (but thats not really a surprise, because i tend to find everything about him absolutely adorable) he's also kind of hilarious, but he tends to be subtle about it. which i definitely prefer to obnoxious humor. oh, and he plays the guitar. so yeah. hes basically perfect.

i've known steve for a little while now, but it wasn't until last week that my affections began to grow. once i realized that we were potential soul mates, i decided it was time to actually have a few conversations with him. and so this week we bonded over conversation of breakfast foods, football, and television shows. as well as some time spent dancing with some precious little kids. i'd like to think that our relationship has escalated from simply co-workers, to acquaintances. and yes, i realize that this isn't much. but i'll take it. our friendship is even facebook official now, so that has to count for something right?

so heres to hoping that this next week will bring more adventures to write about. and perhaps this week i'll give steve some reasons to be smitten with me. :)
