The Triple Threat

I love my small group community so much. I even brought Lydia this past week and she thought those folks were pretty neato. I go to Bible Study for all the right reasons: building Christian community, getting deeper into God's word, being part of a support system, etc. But all the reasons I go to Bible Study might not be right: boyz.

I agree with Lydia that those folks are pretty neato, but one fellow has particularly captured the essence of "neato." His name is Jackson and he actually came for the first time this week. When he walked in the door, I immediately fell silent. (Do you notice a pattern in my first encounters with a potential better-half?) He was hilarious the whole evening, captivating my attention and earning my affection.

Eventually I made myself start a conversation. I introduced myself and let him do the rest of the talking. I was thoroughly impressed by everything he said. Recent college grad, recently moved to our city so he can intern with a missions organization, currently preparing to spread the Gospel in Africa this summer. I guess you could call him a Christian triple-threat.

Before the end of the evening, we took a group picture, and we're both tagged on Facebook. How long do I wait before I send a friend request? Can't be too forward; everyone knows those Christian boys gotta be the pursuer.

Waiting to be pursued,
Kitty
